Some work starts here.
The sandbox. Small runs of hardware, custom furniture, one-off conceptual pieces, and experiments in material science. Studio-led work that comes out of curiosity instead of a commission. The things that help me test ideas, sharpen the work, and keep the practice moving.
What this is
Sometimes an idea becomes a product. Sometimes it becomes a study. Sometimes it becomes a useful object with a little more personality than it needed.
The point is not to fill space. The point is to keep the studio alive as a place where ideas can be explored.
How it shows up
Small runs, one-offs, future editions.
A piece of hardware that started as a prototype and turned into a short run. A studio object that began as a finish test. A concept that took shape between paid jobs and needed a home to live in until someone found it.
Some of it ends up in the shop. Some ends up in someone's house. Some ends up as a note in the journal. Some of it eventually becomes a Trust Fall, where the experimentation crosses into someone else's object. All of it is mine until it is not.

Most of what happens in the Lab gets written up in the journal as it happens. Finish tests that did not quite work. Colors I have been thinking about. Links to things that shaped how I think about surface. If any of that sounds worth tracking, that is where it lives.
